Coaching History
With 30 years coaching experience in 6 different countries, Antonio Emanuel has been involved in the development of players to reach the ATP circuit. Has made through his formation, 21 national champions in different countries, from under 12`s to top level.
Had his own Club and Tennis Academy for 15 years, (Algarve Tennis Academy) and during that time successfully formed 26 players who reached the ATP circuit. For 11 Years in a row his players were part of the Portuguese national team (male and female) and of the Portuguese Davis Cup team. Has coached among others, players such as: Adriana Mingerianu (Romanian champion), Antonio Van Griechen, Israel Monteiro, Ana Catarina Nogueira (5 times Portuguese national champion and n.3 world Padel ranking) Magali de Lattre, Pedro Leão and Sèbastien Iglesias.
In 1999 and 2000 performed several clinics with the Estonian female national team which included kaia Kanepi (WTA ranking 15 in 2012). While working in Finland, met the 17 years old Svetlana Kuznetzova in the Nordea Nordic Light Open 2001 in Helsinki, which was her first WTA title. 4 Years latter they met again in the Sanchez-Casal Tennis Academy in Barcelona, training ground of Kuznetzona and where Emanuel Coached for 4 years and was part of Svetlana`s team for 1 year (Emilio Sanchez, Sergio Casal, Stefan Ortega, Emanuel Tomas).
